St. Patricks Day

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!  I hope you all wore green today!  Anyways, usually St. Patrick’s Day is a sign to me that spring is coming!  If spring is coming then it is time to get your pig active again!  Guinea Pigs don’t like to be caged up in the winter with no fresh air or green grass!  Maybe, this weekend you could spend some nice quality time with your Guinea Pig and get him/her active again!  Let them scamper about the grass!  Be sure they are in your sight at all times however!  Hope you had an amazing St. Patrick’s Day!

Holidays on the way!

Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanzaa, Merry Christmas, and Happy Holidays!  There are so many ways to wish you the best during this 2010 Holiday season!  Thanksgiving passes just a few days ago in the United States and I hope many people had a large feast of turkey, pumpkin pie, and mashed potatoes!  However , there is not all good news that comes with feasts!  Your beloved Guinea Pigs’ cousins in Peru were gobbled up this year!  In Peru they eat more than 65 million guinea pigs every year, as they are a staple food. (How sad!)  So be thankful this holiday season that your pig wasn’t one of those 65 million!  Once again, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanzaa, Merry Christmas, and Happy Holidays!  Be sure to keep your pet happy, healthy, and warm during the winter months!  Be especially careful if the cage or hut is outside, and if it comes in contact with the elements (Wind, Rain, Snow, Etc.) that you be very observant of your pig and move the hut/cage inside if necessary if weather conditions make a bad living environment for your pig!  Be sure to comment below and tell me what YOU are Thankful for this holiday season!

Halloween

Okay I have a new Guinea pig everybody, and his name is Tweak! he did have a twin but he died a while ago when they were younger. Since Halloween is coming up, Guinea Pigs should be apart of the celebration as well! There are numerous fun ideas for you and your little friend to take part in! Some ideas are making a Halloween costume for your G-Pig!  Here are some ideas! (Click them to see them!)

Another great Halloween idea is make a SPOOOOOOOOKY obstacle course!  By this I mean get a well sized box, or you can make one, that is probably 4 feet long and 4 feet wide and 5-7 inches deep. Fill this box with any bedding of your choosing, add bricks, logs from FRUIT TREES ONLY (example: Cherry, Apple, Orange etc.), anything you want that is safe for you and your pet, and hide treats inside the box so it will be challenging for your piggie to find, but it will be a good treat to!

Happy Mothers Day!

I would like to say to all Mothers out there to have a spectacular day and for all you ladies who own Guinea Pigs, your a mother too (you are a mother to your pig!)! On the other hand I have suspictions that my guinea pig may be dying, I’m not quite sure though. He seems to be healthy, he still eats, drinks, and poops. But hes not as active and he hasn’t gain or lost weight. Any ideas of whats happening? Thanks

Not agian…

Okay I’m staying home from school today because my guinea pig died this morning.  It was so sudden! I didn’t even know why! I was feeding him some carrots last night and he seemed fine but this morning around 6:30 I was feeding them ( I also have another guinea pig) and I found him .  I’m so depressed. I’ve only had him for 2months. Those two months were very bonding. Sigh….   I’ll post later today to tell everyone how I’m doing.

Long time no see, right?

Hey  I’m back and I have a bunch of news people! For one I am going to be adding more info to the site. Number two, my guinea pig Flare has unfortunatley passed awayabout three weeks ago. (may he R.i.p). Number three I have two new guinea pigs and they are both short-haired males. Thats about it!

MY POOR PIGGIE!

My poor piggie is back in Nevada while im on vacation until the end of JULY! And i’m soo sad for him beacuse he is outside with the FERRETS (yes I also have ferrets) and I’m not sure if they are natural enimes or not! Because my mom said the Feretts were tryinf to get into my piggies cage SSOOOOO badly but lucly they couldn’t (YAAAAY!!!! ) And once we but 1 of the ferrets (chunk) with my guinea pig and CHUNK BIT HIM!!! and FLare started squeling and i felt sooo bad for him! SO now i’m very worried so my mom (hopefully) will move him back into the house! And thats all the piggies news I have. And also on the OTHER PEOPLES PIG PAGE I have put my piggie on there oh and heres a picture of my piggie!
